Nice Italian place. Seems family owned. Stopped in for lunch between Christmas and New year's and was pleasantly surprised to find a large Italian buffet. Nice spread. Had a great lunch at a good price. Service was above average. Sausage and peppers were great.

Being 100% Italian it takes a lot to impress me with Italian food. Fiorellos impressed me. The minute I walked in it was like I was back in my grandmothers kitchen on a Sunday morning...the aroma, the chatter, the music...it was heartwarming. And this was only a glimpse of what was to come. The food was real, authentic old school Italian...from the bread to the antipasto to the stuffed calamari and this was just appetizers. Keep an eye out for the tomato and garlic pizza they put in the bread basket too...it's delicious. Dinner was just as good....I was with a party of 10 so there was a lot of variety. I had the Branzino which was filleted table side and served with a side of broccoli rabe. To die for. The sauce can make or break an Italian dish and their sauce is right out of my grandmothers kitchen. The lasagna was a hearty portion with lots of meat and cheese...the linguini and white clam sauce was fresh and almost briny with a hint of garlic...excellent. The spaghetti bolognese was delightful as was the margharita pizza...all In all everyone enjoyed their meal. The icing on the cake was the live entertainment...there was a singer named Rich DeSimone who was performing throughout dinner and provided the perfect backdrop for a wonderful evening. Dressed In a tuxedo, pinky ring and all he sang all the Sinatra favorites and sang them well. The service was excellent too. Very attentive. Both my heart and my stomach were full when I left. It was like I spent and evening with my family back in the old days. Looking forward to going back for a meal that is truly deserving of 5 stars. Thank you.

Still awesome as ever BUT... My boyfriend made reservations for here on my birthday. When he called he asked them to make note that it was my birthday and he'd like to purchase a slice of cake with candle in it to be brought out to me as a dessert. They said it would not be a problem. We got there, shard a bottle of wine, ate an amazing dinner (as always) and was then offered dessert.... my boyfriend thought the waitress was just playing coy. Well, when we received the check without any dessert, he knew they had forgotten. Out in the parking lot, I made a comment of how I thought he would have "surprised" me with a slice of cake and he explained the entire thing to me. We both agreed that he should have been more assertive at the time but it was still a huge disappointment for me and I felt bad for him, too! The staff needs to make sure they check their notes when they seat a party. Fiorello's dropped the ball on this special occasion.

This is a great local Italian restaurant. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is energetic. One of the best vodka sauces I have ever had. Portions are perfect and prices are very reasonable. Very friendly staff and a huge menu to choose from. Definitely a hidden gem in west chester.

Was impressed by the Yelp reviews so we decided to get some food for take out. Spoke with a very friendly Italian woman on the phone to place the order. Said it would take 20 minutes time. Fortunately for us the restaurant is not far and located before you get deep into West Chester on Rt 3 so getting back out of town is a snap, We ordered a chicken parmigiana with spaghetti, a baked rigatoni, a meatball and two pieces of sausage. Each came with a salad of lettuce, cukes and a Tomatoe and a balsamic vinaigrette. Nothing special but ok. It also comes with bread and some slices of Tomatoe bread with garlic. The food was ready exactly as promised. The restaurant is nice with a small bar and a brick pizza oven. The chicken parm was delicious as was the rigatoni. The meatball was fair. Sausage was good. This is a good spot and we will return. Definitely going to eat in sometime as well.

Great outstanding Italian Restaurant in West Chester, Myself, my husband, and our son dined at this establishment this evening. The Food and Service was terrific. We ordered an appetizer of fried calamari which was cooked expertly. Our entrees were Pollo parmigiana, Lasagna, and Fettuccine Alfredo, great portions and everything was out of this world from the bread to our salads as well. The service was attentive and professional, everyone was sweet, they made you feel like family, our server was a sweet woman. Ended it with coffees and our son loved his cannoli. We will be returning. Highly Recommended!

Mangia! Mangia! Family owned & operated. Love it. Walking into the aroma of fresh garlic and overhearing Italian chatter from the kitchen is my kind of experience. The calamari was done perfectly. Fresh, light and didn't even need the scrumptious marinara it was served with. The Frutti Di Mare pizza was smothered in shrimp clams & mussels. It was hard to even see the pizza but my friend loved it. I ordered the manicotti. I rarely order this out because it always seems to disappoint be but my oh my...just like that....devoured. The server was very quiet and not the must attentive but he cracked a smile...I think twice. Fiorello's is definitely a go to spot when craving authentic Italian!

This feels like a very nice homey, family run kind of place. The food portions are huge, so you won't leave hungry. I like it here, but the food can be variable between really tasty and good to unmemorable. We have been here twice and the service has been inconsistent, from attentive and friendly to cold and forgetting things like a fork. The artichokes are great, the pizza bread that you get in the bread basket is almost a meal in itself, but it's not hot. My veal dish was cooked well, the veal wasn't tough, but the sauce was a bit sweet. All in all, decent and prices are fair also.

The food is ok. Pasta was a bit overcooked. Not the worst meal I've had but far from the best. The service, as stated in some other reviews, is definitely bad when speaking of the tall gentleman who is tasked with being a server. If I have to imagine his back story it'd be that he was told that coming to america would make him rich and he'd have beautiful american girls fawning over his accent. Then when he finally got here he found that the money didn't come as easily as he was lead to believe and his accent didn't help with the ladies. This leads to him spending his days reminiscing about his youth and how he could have been a movie star back home. It's quite a shame because this place seems like a nice family run spot. I wish they had a decent server and were a bit more on point with their food.

Food was okay, but service was terrible. Our server ignored us and made me and my boyfriends family fee very unwelcome. The food would have been better if the server would've gotten out order completely correct.

This restaurant is small but it packs a punch. Fiorello's has the perfect environment. From the sounds of the Italian chatter coming from the kitchen. To the smell of the wood burning oven. This is my favorite spot. The food is always fresh and delicious. The service is fast and prompt. The reasoning behind my 4 stars is the lack of personality from the only waiter there. He takes care of your needs, but his personality is so non existent. You get a better reaction from a cadaver.

Been here for business lunch a couple times. Seemed OK. Brought family on a Saturday night. The place was crowded and we were "lucky" they could fit us in. I had to ask for bread although it seemed to come to others quickly. It was partially stale and partially warm. I had a house specialty, Misto di Pesce. Completely uninspired with spoiled mussels. Tasted like they cooked the seafood early in the evening, let it sit around and waited for someone to order and reheat with a thin sauce and pasta...Terrible. It was all rubbery and chewy. My son who eats everything had the chicken parm. He would not eat because it tasted funny. When I tried it, it was thin, rubbery, and rancid. Completely inexcusable and disgusting. Waitress did offer to replace it, but I think he was scared to eat anything else from this place. On a somewhat positive note, if you like bad food, the portions were very large . There is some very good Italian in the area, this is not it. Maybe it was an off night and I'm being over critical. I will not be back.

My family and I have had dinner here a few times and the place never disappoints. The portions are generous, the food is always hot, the drinks are always good and the deserts are to die for. I do not generally enjoy "close quarters" while eating but it never bothers me here.

I came across Fiorello's one day as my wife and were looking for a place to try on Yelp! After reading the reviews, it seemed like a place that would be a safe bet for good food, and it did not disappoint. We arrived at 7:30p on a Saturday night without a reservation, and weren't sure if we would be able to get in, but luckily we were. We were greeted by the abundance of servers and hosts when we walked in a promptly seated. A quick review of the menu showed they were reasonably price ($15-$25 per entree on average), and that they had about 100 options for dinner. We decided to try the chicken parm and the veal piccata as our meals. Both meals included salads (house or caesar) and they provide you with a warm bread basket while waiting (homemade italian bread and 'tomato pie' included). Our food all arrived quickly and was cooked well. For dessert we ordered tiramisu but soon found out they were out of it. We couldn't decide between the napolean or the canolli so they gave us both and only charged us for one. Both were good too! In short, we had great service, with really good food (flavor and portion) and would recommend others try this out. In the west chester area, I would rank Fiorello's right behind Limoncello, but ahead of Nonna's or any of the other chain restaurants nearby.

We stopped here on a whim for lunch and just having the garlic fragrance when you walk into the restaurant is worth returning for. The food was great and apparently changes daily for the lunch buffet but I will be returning! Very personable service.

the food here was excellent, however the server was not very friendly and seemed irritated when we asked questions about the menu. when we asked about what was on tap, she quickly flipped open the menu and pointed to the bottle beers that they had. would return but would hope for a different server.

Terrible. For a $20 veal piccata dish, I received 2 slivers of veal and probably 2 liquid cups of sauce. Meatballs are frozen/mass produced and not fresh or homemade (for $1.50 each, they should be). Rigatoni Amatriciana contained what appeared to be bits of bacon fat, NOT prosciutto as described in the menu. The bread was old and stale, the "tomato pie" or whatever it is had a TON of garlic on it - inedible. AWFUL. I had high hopes for a homey, traditional Italian place but will never make this mistake again.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant ever. This place is truly amazing. The food is of the highest quality, the service is friendly and helpful, and the menu has great variety. I always tend to order the delicious specials, but you can't go wrong with the Chicken Parmesan, Pizza Margherita (best pizza I have ever had), and the Veal Marsala. Before your meal you get a tasty salad (their house balsamic is the best in the world) and a serving of bread with butter and Focaccia. Save room for dessert and coffee. 5 stars!

Fiorello's is awesome! My daughter's graduation was this past Saturday 5/31 and we were looking for something in west chester for lunch after the graduation with easy parking and great food. we had 16 people and we all had GREAT meals. the service was outstanding and the ambiance was perfect - casual but very, very nice. I can't say enough about what a great experience we had.

My boyfriend and I were here this past Tuesday (2/11) for an early Valentine's day lunch, and I was blown away. We chose Fiorello's on a whim, since we both love Italian food, but I wasn't expecting anything spectacular, since the outside seems so underrated. I was wonderfully surprised to find just how authentically delicious this small, mom-n-pop cafe was! We walk in, around 1:30, were seated promptly and greeted by our server (Polly, I do believe). She was VERY knowledgeable about the menu, the specials, the wine... everything! We started with the antipasto (great choice), and were served fresh bread and bruschetta, made in house. Boyfriend had Shrimp Scampi, and I had one of the specials for the day (can't remember the name, it was shrimp, mussel, and clam in garlic white wine sauce with bowtie pasta). I can't emphasize enough how everything was delicious! To end our date, we had coffee and triple chocolate mousse cake. In all, everything was reasonably priced for the amazing quality and the service was wonderful. Boyfriend and I went dutch and ended up paying about $35 each. We'll be back real soon, hopefully with all our friends!

This is a great authentic Italian restaurant. We came here on the recommendation of some family members and all enjoyed their meal. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, the bar served some fine cocktails, and our meals were excellent. This is solid traditional Italian food! We loved the live guitar music, as well!

Never a bad meal - always fresh and excellent. They are always busy and the drawback is the tables are way too close together - can't believe they are allowed so many tables by the fire codes in West Chester truthfully. Their fish dishes are amazing - try the branzino when they have it. Love their staff too!

After reading positive reviews and driving by this place, my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try on a recent Saturday evening. Sadly our experience mirrored those on Google + reviews where the waiter really makes or breaks the experience. We were whisked in and plopped at a tiny table near a loud and boisterous group of "regulars." Our waiter (presumably the manager, the infamous Serefino?) never introduced himself, and seemed impatient and unwelcoming. He was more interested in the larger tables and disappeared often. He shooed away the more welcoming and friendly busboys who tried to give us water, bread and later dessert. While the ravioli was good, the portions were small for the prices but my boyfriend's pasta was excellent. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. Despite talking briefly with a nearby table of regular diners and presumably the lady owner, both sweet and friendly, we felt uncomfortable and tense throughout the dining experience.

Came here for a business lunch with some coworkers. First thing I noticed is that it was packed. Always a good sign. Most of the staff speaks Italian. I tried the salmon on mixed greens. It was an excellent salad. I also tried the antipasto. Great salami and prosciutto. Place is quaint and the service is friendly.

Horrible waiter, if you get the tall guy with the shaved head, let him know this is not even a nice restaurant, so he should drop the "I'm better than you" attitude. Would you like some food with your sauce? Plates were drowning in pasta sauce and very over seasoned with salt. Portions are huge, so if you don't care how your food tastes, but just want a lot of it then by all means.. also waiter was about to sit us directly next to two other small tables when there were only 10 people in the whole restaurant. How about some common courtesy/ a LITTLE privacy? I also left the waiter a 15% tip, ( I usually always leave 20, but I was very dissatisfied with his level of service and attitude) I should have left a lot less, but I try not to as I have worked for tips myself. And he would not even look at me or say goodbye while we walked past him on our way out. If you are not happy with your job, get another one!

IN LOVE WITH THIS RESTAURANT! The food is great, their pizza is great and so is every thing else on the menu. The service is good, but since it's always jam-packed getting your service quick is not an option; unless you come at a earlier time. The interior is good, it's a family owned restaurant which is nice to think about. There is sometimes a performer, so if you come alone focus in the music! If there is a Italian singer, often times the whole crowd joins in. You feel like you are at home in Italy. I recommend their Pizza.

We had dinner with some friends at Café Fiorello in West Chester. The food was good and the portions were huge. We shared two appetizers among the four of us--tomato and mozzarella salad that was good and fresh and fried artichokes that were tasty. The main dishes come with a salad that was pretty basic. The main courses were good with one exception. I had Spaghetti Carbonera that was good, at least the one or two bites I had. I was so full that I just boxed it up and ate it the next day. My wife had linguine al vongole that was very good. Our female friend had a pasta with seafood that was also good. Our male friend had blackened grouper that was not blackened, so he was a bit disappointed. The only other complaint was that those who ordered iced tea were served it already sweetened. This is outrageous! Pennsylvania is not the South! Our tea is served unsweetened, allowing the drinker to add sweetener (or not) as he or she would like. Serving sweetened tea is a dangerous trend that must be stopped and stopped now!

Fantastic pasta! Also best bread basked of any restaurant I've ever been to - it has little pizza-like things along with delicious rolls. It's also a beautiful room. Even though it's not in downtown West Chester, it's still probably one of the best intimate spots in town. Plus it has parking!!!

I am a West Chester native who frequents many restaurants in town. Fiorellos is the place I go to for a predictably consistent Italian meal. Everything is fresh, as advertised, generous portions. Classic Italian. The one slight I have to offer is that their specials are pricey, so be sure to ask for a price before you commit!

First of all, please let me say that I would definitely recommend Fiorello's Café to anyone for an enjoyable evening. The food is good, the service is good and the atmosphere is charming and upbeat. You almost feel like your in someone's home in Sicily! The homemade bread is DELICIOUS watch out! On the flip side be prepared for quite a "crowded" experience. I know this is no big deal, just be forewarned they really pack the tables in. So much to the point it can be difficult to get up and down and the servers must really have this down because there is little room to move. Four of us ate dinner on Saturday night with four drinks, an appetizer, salad and entrée each. The total bill was $260! Granted, we left our awesome server Katerina a good tip but still it was a little expensive in my opinion. Just be forewarned. Even with this said, I would absolutely recommend Firoello's to anyone and everyone. Hard working family who definitely earns their success!

For dining in, I'd give this place four stars. The food is isn't stellar, but it's above average. The portions are generous, and the service is good. For take-out, two stars. We've tried five or six times over the years, and our order has never (never!) been correct. I think this last time was enough for us to finally accept that take-out is not an option here.

Once upon a time, long ago... This was a top notch eatery! From the pizza and bread to the salad and entree this was the best... Though always pricey, the Quality was high. Lately the quality dropped, and service fell off the map. Still go back once every few months, hope it regains it's shimmer for it's cost... Once it does, i'll refine my review..

My family and I have had dinner here a few times and the place never disappoints. The portions are generous, the food is always hot, the drinks are always good and the deserts are to die for. I do not generally enjoy "close quarters" while eating but it never bothers me here.

Ate the buffet (13.95$+ cost of drink) nice spread. The mystery breaded oval is potato. And its good. Cappuccino- very attractive and delish.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
